The frivolous threads don't bother me much. I think you have to accept that on any public forum. People get bored, want to chit-chat. I'm not much of a chit-chat kinda guy and I seldom get bored, so I like serious discussions and conversations about old classics and new bands we've all stumbled upon. Those are the threads I tend to post on. The others I pay little attention.
In Soundmaster's defense, I think he has started some pretty good discussions (banging the chick from Arch Enemy not withstanding) on some old school bands like Dio, Dokken and EEK!, dare I say, Winger.
If he's to be lashed 40 times with a wet noodle, I make plea for his sentence to be reduced to 20 lashes.

Yeah, okay, the intelligence level of the threads dropped below level with the "banging" thread, I just ignored that one...But if you sort stuff out like Wyvern says there still is enough interesting stuff around to keep on going and have somekind of a fresh start (with hopefully all the regulars)... I made some good friends here, the UM Old School fired up my interest for Metal again and I will stay here and hope all of you guys will do the same !!!

I also follow evening school wich takes up my wednesday and thursday evening the next 5 days...That leaves limited time and I got a little family here. Hawk we already have a conversation but anyway follow as carnut says. Filter the bad, keep the good and we will have the forum as it always has been for us. Same goes to all the gang you know who you are

So, if I understand you correctly, you slag him for criticizing them, and, oddly enough, ALSO slag me for defending them. That makes little, to no, sense.
And, finally, the "banging thread" explicitly states "I'm bored". That blurb easily states the very reason that such a comical thread was posted.
But, with all of that said, you're still FREE to start your own threads. If those of others bore you, feel free to start your own. It may, just may, bring the IQ level of ALL posters back up a notch!
I still can't believe the DT comment.....as if someone's opinion on art can ever be moronic. Unreal. Let me see if I understand correctly: YOU happen to find said band's music emotional. That's great. They must do something for you that they don't do for me. Someone disagrees with your view - simply disagrees - and it's "moronic". This represents a new high in lows. Again, feel free to do something that NO human has ever done before: that is to prove that his opinion of art, somehow, is more valid than another's and, better yet, can be proven. We await in eager anticipation...
