Any word on when John might be back in the saddle again with Anthrax or is the reunion permanent?

To clear things up the Reunion has evolved into something more and we are expecting a new album with Spitz and Belladonna (and Bello) on it. The Reunion had to go ahead and due to legal reasons the band and John can't say much more.

I think its funny how everybody always points to the "taking care of his kid" line. Lots of guys in bands have kids. Its not like everybody said, uh oh john just had a kid, lets do a reunion so he can have some time off.
I personally think we're the past the stage where this can be called a reunion.
In regards John, he'll be on the road with the Saint soon, but typical timing means I'll be in D.C. when they hit Scotland *sigh*.

I've read this board for years and finally had to join and add my 2 cents. First, I like all Anthrax be it the Turbin/Lilker version, the Belladonna/Spitz version or the Bush/Caggiano version with nods to Paul Crook and Dimebag's work on the mid-90's releases.
Second, I have never seen it discussed in the countless Bush/Belladonna/reunion threads, but why are there always legalities involved in why current or past members can't talk about the status of the situation?
While the commercial use of the internet was in it's infancy when Belladonna left, I do remember trade magazines of the time not really discussing the subject until Belladonna resurfaced as a solo artist. While we all know now where Spitz went after he left, until he resurfaced on metal-sludge a few years ago no one new if he was even alive. Later, there were vague rumors of legalities preventing either Anthrax or Spitz from shedding any real light on this departure. Now Bush, Caggiano and the others dance around their statuses.
I don't know...Halford, Priest; Dickenson, Maiden; DLR, Hagar and Van Halen, all these guys were very forthcoming about what was what during and after the time of their splits. Even Ozzy and Sabbath were pretty straightforward in the rock journals of the time. And one would suppose that each of these bands would have reams of lawyers and contracts stipulating every syllable they utter.

yeah, I remember not knowing what the hell happened to Dan, and the only reason I knew about Joey was not through the press, but because my ex-husband found his phone number in a Syracuse area phonebook, called him and asked him. I swear, I still have the number. It's now unlisted, but yeah Joey had no problem talking to a complete stranger. Which always makes me wonder about people who say he's arrogant, or pompous. Seemed like a down to earth dude to me, and from what I know of the conversation, he didn't bash Anthrax one bit. Dan was another story, but we all saw that on Metal sludge.

Seriously, Anthrax pissing the fuck out of me is nothing new.
I was perfectly content with Joey as their singer despite gripes from a few of my friends about him. And then they can him. PISSED. They release Live at Budokan which was a real treat. I was still pissed about Joey being gone. And then they release SOWN which blew me away.
I was pissed at them for not committing to Paul Crook as a full time member. And then they get Caggiano as a permanent member. Everyone knows that Caggiano is responsible for them "to get the horns back".
And then, after releasing GOTE and having claimed in interviews and such that it was "how i heard it in my head" and all that jazz, they reunite with Belladonna and Spitz. I know that pissed alot of us. Not just me.
Who knows what Anthrax will do next?
I was watching 2003 live footage of them on youtube.com. They sounded great and I remember how phenomenal each of those shows were and they only seemed to get better every time. I loved when they pulled out 1000 points of hate and cadillac rock box. Every Anthrax show seemed to get better until Frank departed. No offense to Vera. He filled in fine but he was still just filler. No Bello. I saw them on the set of Carson Daly. They sounded tight as fuck. I saw them record GOTE, they sound tight as fuck. I saw them outside in the day time which was cool as hell.
So far the only Anthrax show with the reunion that stands out as phenomenal to me was the first one I saw where they recorded Alive 2. Not because they recorded it though. It was because it was the first time I had seen these guys on the same stage together in 13 years. Maybe I'm just spoiled. I love these songs their playing but they get old. Not too many surprises in the sets. And it'd be rad if they played I'm the Man the way they used to with Joey on the drums.
If this upcoming tour skips my reach, I would NOT be PISSED.
