which band is better or....which band has ultra cool sound with flawless engineering....mastering and production that is not of this earth...?

This one's pretty easy...BG are really talented...

Stratovarius, Jens is excellent, Kotipelto sounds great in his lower register (which Tolkki won't let him use), Jorg isn't the most imaginative drummer but solid, but Tolkki can be a wanker in his solos...

Helloween hasn't been great since the Keeper days...

Gamma Ray...well, he's got a pink friggin' guitar...

None of them, yet....though BG are the top band in the list IMO.

I don't really get any of these bands. I'm not going to say they're "gay" or anything, they're all good musicians who work hard at what they do. I just have a hard time getting into so-called "power metal" in general.

That being said, I'm a huge fan of Maiden and Priest, the logical roots of this music. Go figure...

i'm not that much of a fan of them lol, i was just stating, out of power metal bands i like those 4 more than the 4 mentioned in the poll.
