yeah, so, my interface fried a couple of days ago and I need some back up ASAP.
my options are the following:

Focusrite Saffire
Focusrite Saffire pro 24
M-audio Profire 610
Presonus Firepod

Any other recommendation would be great, but I need to the get this sorted in a couple of days.

I own a Firepod and what I really dislike is the absence of any kind of mixing software (which could enable you to mix the input and output channels to your liking) and a quiet headphone output. Not as crucial, but it'd be really nice if it had any kind of DSP FX onboard, let's say for putting a bit of reverb into cans while the singer is tracking, it's always more comfortable that way...

Firepod is pretty stripped down and basic unit, but it's nice if you need 8 decent mic inputs for not a whole lot money...

My firepod had the output bleeding in m inputs, so I wouldnt recommend it at all. The profire have better pres and converters, but my 2626 give me blue screens...So I'd recommend the focusrite.

Echo Audiofire Pre8 > M-Audio Profire2626 > all of those.

the focusrite pro 40 is the best option. its pretty equal to the 2626 but is significantly cheaper as long as you can live with a single adat channel
