Interface time $$

So 6 months after selling my firepod i finally have enough cash for a new interface. Ive read the threads about (FAQ Interface) and about (Focusrite liquid Saffire 56 VS. M-audio Profire 2626. Its been sometime since that last one, So i was curious if people are still having problems with the saffire and I was wondering if anyone has had one on one with both? I Would go after an RME but they are just out of my range.

I bought the profire and I couldn't be happier. Absolutely solid piece of hardware, no problems at all with it and it's been very stable for me on a G4 and a G5. Haven't tried the focusrite so I can't say, but I was debating between the two and I finally went for the 2626. I can only recommend this interface

I heard only GOOD things about the m-audio 2626!!!!!

But the RME fireface 800 is just the premium firewire interface!!!I think the converters are worth every f***king CENT

I've never had problems with my Saffire, it's 40 though, not 56. I think the drivers are pretty much the same anyway.

The FF400 has better quality preamps.

Ebay is your friend. I picked up my FF800 for $900. Works flawlessly.

The RME stuff is (close to) the least user friendly stuff I've ever used.
