Maybe it's just the syncopated type of way he growls those lines that make people think it is rapping. Every syllabyl comes out with the same sort of emphasis. I just thought that made it more traditional death metal sounding. (But what the hell do I know? I also got that impression during the part in Demon of the Fall when he's growling "Demon, demon of the fall, demon.")

It's a nice rhyme scheme. Look at Bloodbath material, there's a lot of rhyme schemes and riffs that could easily be "spit on" by any skilled rapper.
