German:
- actual spoken language in several countries
- easier to learn than Latin (I guess)
- You could talk with me in German!

Latin:
- knowledge from Latin will help you when learning another language or with understanding words that come from Latin.
- If you've got a good teacher, Latin lessons teach you also a lot of general knowledge.
