Which of these albums do you think will be the best?

Probably best to forget about these bands for now. By now they're all more concerned with supporting their families with high-selling music than any kind of artistic integrity

How many millions of dollars does it take to support a family? Theyre not scrapping for cash in the least. The reason theyre making shitty music is because they dont think theyre making shitty music. They probably think theres artistic integrity in st anger and whatever else they make. It just so happens to suck ass.

You think Dave is done? I think his work in fantomas has been great

no, in fact i think hes a much more important drummer now that slayer isnt his pure focus. being a member of slayer is like being stuck in the 7th layer of hell for a musician id have to imagine.

Agreed. The System Has Failed was by no means a masterpiece but atleast it was still a decent thrash album which is more than Metallica or Slayer have released in the last decade.

Sort of, St. Anger was a good album, kicked the arse of Load and Reload (Shit Load and...no sorry I'm just not witty enough) but I only think that because I really never considered Metallica to be anything special in the first place...Master of Puppets was cool but far from inspired. Slayer? Slayer were great, then they became a thrash metal band and since then they've been recording the same album for the last 20+ years...shite.

Megadeth were good and remained good, they're not saviours of thrash or anything, but any one of their albums (Risk excluded) is better than anything Metallica or Slayer ever made.

There is a 7th layer!?!?!

Crap....

I think Megadeth will of course, take the win over Slayer and Metallica.

But we can all hope that Metallica will come out with something good for a change. Slayer, now I'm not too conserned about them... God Hates Us All was ok for me, at least Bloodline was good.

Lets all hope that they are all good. :(

Easily Slayer. God Hates was an awesome return to form...one of their best records.

I also expect the Metallica record to be tolerable if nothing else. St Anger, while mostly sucking, did, at least, have a few catchy riffs in the first 3 songs.

I have zero hope for Megadeth. They haven't released a good record in 16 years.
