What does that have to do with anything? Get over yourself.

they only like it because they dont know its bad compared to other stuff in the genre

typical metalfans of course dont bother to look into other genres, shitty nonmetal sideprojects of metal scene are enough to keep them going!

as true as that is, did you ever stop and consider that some of us are not "typical metal fans" and are actually aware of the respective genres that these "metal" bands delve into? and that, given this, we would still enjoy those albums? it's possible, i assure you. get over it. :Smug:

1)Ulver is completely unique, they are not just ''electronic'', Garm is a highly skilled vocalist(enough to make Ulver stand apart from other electronic bands) and they draw influences from many styles, like tri-hop/film scores/progressive rock, etc

2)Your judgement: ''It iS Bad bEcUZCZ thEy r a M3t1l baNd'' is ridiculous, maybe some like new Ulver because they used to be metal, but a lot of people like it because it is quality work.

3)Most electronic music sucks ass fyi(with a few good exceptions)

well yeah you probably would because you just have bad taste in general

i doubt you're experienced enough with the genre to make that judgment (evidence: you think ulver is unique)

did you change your nick or make a new one? NFU is right, the forum is dead. fucking trolls... get over yourself AND your extensively superfluous "signature"

I explained why they are unique, and it is a fact. And i like some Electronic/ambient stuff(Lustmord, massive attack, Prodigy, Aphex Twin and a few others). You should accept the fact that Ulver is in a league of their own, unless you tell me which bands sounds like them or shares a similar vision.

hahaha nah i think i'll just let you keep spouting ignorant bullshit while listening to your entry-level electronic music

You come with all this ''entry-level electronic music'' arrogant crap, and in the end it is me who's being ignorant? you better answer my questions instead, justify yourself, don't be a fucking idiot

i dont need to justify myself to children who just saw windowlicker on mtv2 and thought it was hella kewl

this is kind of apples and oranges anyway. Ulver isnt necessarily "better" than some electronic acts, because A) they never stay with one style long enough to compete with the acts who have been doing it for years. And B) they do MANY different things very well, even if they dont perfect any of them. The diversity and reach they put their talent to is nothing short of commendable regardless whether or not they have conquered ANY of said genres. Ulver is a band that anyone into dark music can get into, appreciate and follow, without the need or requirements of diving head first into the electronic music genre as a whole. To imply someone needs to do so and/or that Ulver are not up to par musically for any reason is pure infantile elitism. And frankly youre wasting your energy massaging that ego with such a notion.

on a side note...if you DO have the interest...i do recommend getting into the electronic and experimental music genres, for they DO have much to offer those willing to dig. as much as just about any genre does. which i think is a better argument to state than Ulver is for ignorant people who dont know electronica, blah blah.

Yes, you need to justify yourself since you are talking ridiculous random crap. Calling people ''children'' when you are completely lacking arguments is like, the oldest thing ever you retard, go eat a couch.

Edit: you sig r00les, congrats
