Hard to for me to decide here. "Bergtatt" and "Kveldssanger" are great, so is the Svidd Neger soundtrack. Brings me the same nutty feeling as the movie

I watched the movie, and I couldn't understand anything they were saying. I felt like i was tripping balls without being high. It was funny.

the fact that he (i am doubting it is a "he") even knows what's ON mtv suggests that the 'children' insult was misplaced, if not backfired altogether. once again i agree with NFU about the nature of Ulver's music.

And the fag seems to be investigating my posts, i really like ''windowlicker'', one of my fave Aphex twin songs...wtf
And i don't even have MTV2 tbh

this is kind of apples and oranges anyway. Ulver isnt necessarily "better" than some electronic acts, because A) they never stay with one style long enough to compete with the acts who have been doing it for years. And B) they do MANY different things very well, even if they dont perfect any of them. The diversity and reach they put their talent to is nothing short of commendable regardless whether or not they have conquered ANY of said genres. Ulver is a band that anyone into dark music can get into, appreciate and follow, without the need or requirements of diving head first into the electronic music genre as a whole. To imply someone needs to do so and/or that Ulver are not up to par musically for any reason is pure infantile elitism. And frankly youre wasting your energy massaging that ego with such a notion.

on a side note...if you DO have the interest...i do recommend getting into the electronic and experimental music genres, for they DO have much to offer those willing to dig. as much as just about any genre does. which i think is a better argument to state than Ulver is for ignorant people who dont know electronica, blah blah.

+ 1..... million.

there is a dvd-r out with english text, it's really worth getting a hold of. even for me who's swedish it's hard to comprehend it all, as the movie is in many norwegian dialects as well as some saami and finnish

did you change your nick or make a new one? NFU is right, the forum is dead. fucking trolls... get over yourself AND your extensively superfluous "signature"
yeah, Spectacular Views was her name.
After her trying to convince me I need to throw away my Opeth cd's, I'm not taking easily to any more suggestions

and polarity was his name before that!

and NFU makes a very good point about his egotistical, "i'm-better-than-you-because-i-listen-to-non-metal" assclown behaviour that drags 95% of his posts down the shitter

Good post.

~LUV~TO~TROLL~

edit: i was actually polarity3 before that then polarity and before that was someone else but that accounts a secret...regdate is nov 02 tho...

im still not going to check them out because non-metal projects by metal musicians universally suck and this is unequivocal FACT. QED.

edit: its kinda funny how easy you guys bite. thanks for the sig compliments though yé-yé and japanese psych are pretty awesome huh!?

EDIT: i see it's been discussed. Don't mind polarity he still seems to think not liking music is a pretty cool thing.

i wish you'd drop this attitude that not enjoying music is always a loss; to denigrate the value of discrimination is to denigrate the value of good music itself

the funny thing is you don't really believe it except when it agrees with your own preferences, as with all your little moral high horses

not really too interested in making you understand where i'm comming from, so just go with whatever. I've known you long enough to know you enjoy hating things and trying to annoy/anger others, and that's just not something i find interesting. I guess we all have to have some kind of hobbies.

welp i guess you've saved everyone a page of you being thickheaded and condescending, whinily repeating the same disproven points over and over again because youre too dense to appreciate my argument, proclaiming that youre done with the discussion, continuing to post for another page, then disappearing when it becomes evident even to the peon masses of this forum that you can't compete with my intellectual stature.

p.s. passion immortal still sucks
