I spend a lot of my spare time at work lurking on these forums, and often find myself with things to say, but have been too lazy to sign up until now. I have been lurking so hard I actually feel like a bit of a creep, so it's nice to come out of the shadows, so to speak!

Name: Nathan
Location: Tasmania, Australia
Age: 21
Own Band: Nothing serious at the moment
Occupation: Currently working as an IT Support Analyst. Hating it, and wishing to get back into the production industry (live sound, actually)
Musical Tastes: Mostly metal it seems, anything with a bit of thought/passion/groove though, and I do literally mean anything!
Favorite Band: Iron Maiden/Kreator
Favorite Album: No Prayer For the Dying/Extreme Agression
Favorite Producer: Zeuss, Tue Madsen
Production Experience: Started out in a course at college, got introduced to the local metal scene from there by recording one half of a split EP, then somehow ended up as the go-to go for any live metal shows in the North of my state (and some southern!) which in turn scored me a job as "the sound guy" at a local club for about 18 months. This ended due to the club owners being extremely frugal and apparently putting the quality of the sound of bands as the lowest priority. Got to do sound for plenty of bands whilst there though; of many different genres. Still do some freelance work in the live scene and am currently trying to put any spare cash into my recording setup to get back into that again.
Goal: Since I don't think I'm quite talented enough to become a rockstar, I think I would be content doing sound for them! Haha! I have kind of settled on recording just being a hobby, and would very much like to get back into doing live shows with a production company. That's my 09 plan anyways.
Production Gear : Just a FP10 for now!
