Name : Joe Ellis
Location : Concord, CA.
Age : 23
Own Band : A few 'in progress' bands. I've mostly just been a hired gun for bands such All Shall Perish, Light This City, and With Passion. Also have a video game metal project known as 'Quickshot Game Metal'.
Occupation : Computer technician, Network Engineer, Music tutor
Musical Tastes : Metal (Just about anything but Nu), Contemporary classical, Smooth jazz, Video Game music, 90s rap/hip hop, 80s pop, the list goes on.
Favorite Band : Carcass
Favorite Album : Heartwork (cliche much?)
Favorite Producer : Zack Ohren (just because he's consistent, high quality, and overall a rad dude)
Production Experience : It all started with a video game metal cover project I started up in 2001. Started with the ever-so mighty Fruityloops, Zoom GFX pedalboard, and horrible 80s drum samples. Excelled to Toontrack products and now happily using XLN Audio, Alien Connections, Voxengo, and other products to polish my mixes with. I limit myself to bands on a budget, friends bands, and my own projects.
Gear: Sold most of my gear just recently, so at the moment only a few custom Jackson guitars, Mitchell electric acoustic, Ibanez S-Classic, Marshall 1960 Cab, Blackstar HT-Dist, M-Audio FTP, M-Audio Keystation 49e, Korg nanoPad, and probably some other stuff I can't think of at the moment.
