Why are all bands changing their sound to Nocturnal Rites?

So it seems like in the last couple of years a whole slew of bands power/prog metal bands have been morphing their sound into a sort of "Modern Noctrunal Rites".

Here are just a few of the bands that come to mind: Dreamland, Sonata Arctica, Narnia, Saint Deamon [the first album was very much in the neo-classical mold of Dionysus compared to their new one], Bloodbound, Edguy, Tarot, etc.

Bloodbound, Edguy, Tarot, etc.

Frankly the new Bloodbound and the last Tarot ("Crows Fly Back") doesn't sound at all the same between them. Now if the overall sound matches NR I cannot tell, because I don't listen to that band to make a comparison.
