Wich band(s) dont you like?

Well... the bands/musicians I really can't stand (MY OPINION/PERSONAL TASTE) are:
Yngwie Malmsteen (for me a guitarist without any feeling)
Pain Of Salvation (they depress the hell outta me)
Vanden Plas (I just don't like them)
Nightwish (I hate operatic vocals)
Led Zeppelin (Robert Plant & Jimmy Page)
AC/DC (Boring. Period!)
There are others for various reasons, but I won't mention them.
Well, I like Manowar, though

but i wont say lol. I dont like their new direction if you ask me. I much prefer their last album which was a masterpiece imo.
oh yeah (to keep the thread going) and i dont like Devin Townsend. He has a couple cool songs but i dont like his vocals

After hearing such wonderful things about them I decided to pick up "Remedy Lane" a few days ago. My first impression was that there were too many freakin ballads (one is too many). Some other songs didn't fit my tastes, but other songs were great. Great musicianship though, their style reminds me of Dream Theater. Maybe it will grow on me with a few more listens. Anyway I'm not much into Black or Death Metal, most growlers irritate me.
Oh, and how could I forget Fagtera. Their glam metal albums ruled, however everything that came after cowboys the worst redneck/homophobic piece of shit I've ever heard.

Even if Yngwie would turn out to be the almighty God, I will not like him.
I have tried any stuff by him.
It seems that zillions of people like/love/admire/worship him, but like Russel Allen® already stated "you're the 49.398.281 person...", I am gonna repeat myself once again: I do NOT like nor will I ever like Yngwie Malmsteen - no matter what anyone will say, no matter how much money anyone will pay me to like him... If I do NOT like any musician or band, it is MY DECISION and I stand behind it.
I won't say that he ain't talented, but for me he is just a boring guitarist, that doesn't "speak" to me through his songs. He fiddles and diddles up and down the neck without any "soul" in his playing. His songs are only "listenable" for me UNTIL his solos destroy everything.
Also, Yngwie only lives through the talented musicians he surrounds himself with. I guess, without any of the great musicians he hires for his albums, he'd probably not have the status he has.
SORRY, GUYS!
Go on, bash my #1 guitarist: Tony MacAlpine, or even Steve Morse. You wouldn't be the only ones
Oh, one other guitarist I don't like listening to: Eric Clapton. His music bores the hell out of me. *yawn*

These are very interesting comments. One of the main reasons I have been listening to Yngwie for twenty years now is precisely because there IS so much feeling and melody in his playing. There is depth and soul to the willing ear, and his music speaks to me loud and clear. I pick up new things from many of his songs every time I listen to them.
As a person, and as a musician, he's one of those that you either get or you don't get. Those who don't get him, and don't understand him, don't like him. Those who get, and understand, what Yngwie's doing, like him.
(Though, obviously, there are those who just don't like that style of music, i.e., the whole neo-classical thing. And of course, in the mainstream rock media/fanship it's in vogue to hate shredders and others who bathe regularly.)
I don't think it's an issue of good or bad, right or wrong. But I do think that there are a lot of people who are missing out by consciously or unconsciously getting caught up in the whole anti-Yngwie farce.

There is nothing wrong with this thread. The question was which bands you dislike. All ya had to do was list them without arguing. It's just that some peaple get offended if someone dislikes their favorite band. I like Yngwie, Lady Of The Snow doesn't. Period. There is no point in arguing, I'm hardly gonna change her mind.

That's not the point Dado, the point is that this thread has become a bashfest against bands. Common it's good to joke around but this has become fucking trend now on the board and people get annoyed by it (and it's disrectpectful to the bands)
