Am I the only power metal fan that hates:
Angra
Therion
Theater of Tragedy
Nightwish

Also, though I like many death metal bands I really hate Nile a lot. Perhaps more than any other band out there. I can't see what their appeal is. None of their songs seem to go anywhere. It just sounds like a festering pot of drums and grunts mixed together for no reason.

In addition, most/all nu-metal like bands.

As much as you want to point out similarities... I still HATE Pantera and I LOVE "The Odyssey"...

I was under the impression that there is more to music then a few main riffs?

It's been awhile since I listened to Cowboys From Hell or Vulger Display of power which are the ONLY discs that I like from Pantera and I think that their newer stuff basically sucks.

The Odyssey on the other hand is very pleasing to my ears!

Bands i dislike are: manowar,gwar,demosn adn wizzards,any german power metal band,anything in the lane of rhapsody,hammerfall,fates warning,glam rock bands,bon jovi just to name a few.

Man, i have to say i started out hating a lot of death and black metal (still do lol) but there are some bands that just kick ass. COB, Bloodbath, Death, Arch Enemy, Siebenburgen, pretty much anything with melody. As for bands i don't like?

Angra (on cd, i really don't like them, though for me they were one of the highlights of Wacken)
Nile (man oh man!!)
Manowar (not horrible... just cheesy to the extreme!!! "If you're not into metal, you are not my friend" lol... at least they have the true metal spirit)
CoF (sorry guys... just doesn't do it for me... and their merchendise is so dumb.... "Touched by jesus, fingered by God".... so original *cough cough*)
Nu metal (exceptions being system of a down and disturbed... don't like them much but their vocals are original and they aren't as steriotypical... they are different and i respect that)
most pantera (floods is a KILLER song though!!!! and they have some other good songs... not a fan though)
Symphony x (JUST KIDDING!!! They are my favorite band ever!)
