Hey Friends--
Here's a rough mix I did of one of my band's new demos. There are no vocals yet, and there are some shaky things performance-wise (guitars aren't tight in spots, timing issues, etc.), but I just wanted to see if you guys had any suggestions about the mix.

As far as i can tell it sounds like you need a bit more high frequencies in general, especially the drums and also the guitars in my opinion, they sound a bit "dull".
If i was mixing i'd put some more bass in the bass too, but that's just me
Try working with that and see what you get.

IMHO, knock the guitars down a touch, more bass guitar, more hats and cymbals, and a less clicky kick drum.

I'd agree with the rest of the comments and add just one more thing.
I suppose you wanted a less distorted rhythm guitar sound, in order to mantain note definition and clarity. But I feel that you should pick harder, the guitar sound lacks certain punch. If that doesn't work, then try increasing the gain just a little bit, it'll be tighter.
Also, consider adding a bit clarity on the bass guitar.

p.s. watch that drummer of yours, he "likes" to skip the beat

Yeah, we'll definitely get everything super-tight when it comes time to record for real. He's an incredible drummer actually, but I agree that it's not the tightest demo.
