But I never visit download pages and I don't have peer2peer stuff going on, no bit torrent etc.

Why should I do?

Oh, and best thing to have is NO internet access on the DAW - use your outdated whatever PC for surfing/www/ftp/office etc.

Ok, at least if you have to run a 100% reliable audio-setup...

Arrite, maybe I'm a bit too lazy to figure this out right now, BUT is pro tools compatible with Linux?
If generally not - Since Linux is open-source, is there a version and/or add-on out that would help me boot up with windows software and hardware on a linux? :S
You know, like that BootCamp thing on Mac which allows you to boot into windows.

I dunno if Pro-tools will work on Linux but With Wine you can use many Windows programs in Linux. You can also do a dual boot where you have Windows and Linux in the same machine.
