today I tried to install a Virtual Machine (Windows XP Pro) on my Mac so that I can use all the precious Windows-plugins, too. I used VirtualBox, because it's open source, but I'm willing to spend a few bucks. I tried Crossover and it's cool, but I think having a virtual machine is a bit more convenient.
Crossover runs stable and I'm able to play live through 8505, LePou's amps etc. ... that's impossible to achieve in VirtualBox - I get a lot of artifacts, massive audio-dropouts, etc. (ASIO4All-drivers are installed).
Anyone managed to get Reaper running under a Virtual Machine? Any hints and tipps?
