without using any searching.. or looking up...

More importantly, why write "chris T" then put his full name in brackets?

surely the only reason to write "chris t" is to shorten it...

i said 'Chris T' because thats how i have found he is refered as.

i've not known people to say his name alone.. they normally say 'Chris T'.

the reason i ask ... is because i'm recording with him in january...

its costing a fair amount for 5 days.

my vocalist is stoked about it and so am i to an extent.

the thing is.. i personaly cannot afford it. and i'm wondering if i should be talking with the rest of my band about looking somewere abit cheaper.

i know i would learn alot from him and time with him would be valuable to me.

but atm i don't even have a working bass.. apart from my Warwick 5string thumb, but thats going before xmas because i really cant afford to keep it.

i need to buy myself a cheaper bass thats good.. i also need a new computer, a new interface, some mics, and Christmas gifts.. and i have absolutely NO income at all. I'm working next week for enough to cover my share of the recording.. but feel that i need that money for other stuff.. such as a new bass etc..

what do you guys think?

should we be going some were cheaper?

and please dont comment on my grammer, i know i am shit at phrasing sentences.

having his name on the album will be priceless promotion...being able to say that the guy who did Painkiller did your album is huge, and people will buy it based on that fact. plus, you probably probably learn tons of interesting stuff from him, and this is a rare experience, you'll probably really enjoy looking back on it in a few years. plus, your mix will probably sound killer.

as for the bass...just rent one for a few days.

Its pretty obvious Chris will do a good job but I dont think he would thank you for putting his prices on the internet. After all he doesnt. You might wanna edit that post pretty quickly. You dont see Andy or James throwing prices around either do you...

I would be really happy if I was on your place, dude!
With which band are you going to record?

And really - all his works I've heard are amazing, so good luck!!!
