Checked out The Gates Of Slumber...they got a very Black Sabbath- ish doom sound, also close to Witchfinder General. But quit different from Wolfmother, more in the "True Metal" movement I think...

Sometimes i think Karl Simon is more Iommi than Tony himself lol. Plus the
drummer is a good friend of mine. They always host some good doom fests
here in last couple of years as well. I guess their going to play in chicago soon with Lord Slough Feg and some other high quality doom bands at a fest
there.

Damn i guess that fest is called the Ale Horn fest in chicago that is taking
place on june 10 it features Manilla Road and Bible Of The Devil as well!

It's hard for me to listen to streaming mp3s, so I d/l one of their albums. Wolfmother, that is. I kinda like what I heard.

I heard a few tracks from Wolfmother and The Sword and like them both. I seen a video for The Sword on HBB a couple weeks ago and decided to check them out. Pretty good shit!
