Wondering about CD-print

Well, I am not sure if that's already stated somewhere, or even often discussed in public, but I wondered about the repeating Borknagar CD-print... this symbol on the black background.

It's the same on every CD except the first one (correct me if I'm wrong) - what's the meaning of it? Anyone knows? I have never seen it before (and it sure looks like something connected with Norse artisanship)
 
I think it just gives all of the CDs a uniform look. And I like it! Always the same symbol on the CDs, only with a minor addition, like a Q or an E. And you're right, on "Borknagar" (self-titled) the CD shows Brun rather than the dragon shape.

Yeah theres a Century Media "re-release" but I don't think it has much different about it. There are still ten tracks and the liner notes are made of one folded page with a picture of a autumn forest and dark clouds; the back of the book has a picture of the sea and clouds. Liner notes are very limited except for a note by Oystein.
