I quit for 2 years once and it wasn't any problem... The key to quiting (for me) was to have VERY positive reasons to, support from family and friends and being in a positive state of mind... It went great for 2 years and then I lost my positive state of mind and my life basically went to hell in a hand basket... (This can happen to anyone...) I'm trying to rebuild my life but it's really tough... I have so many obstacles to overcome, many that I WON'T be able to overcome but will simply have to learn to live with... All of that compounds the difficulty in quitting smoking... (Quitting smoking isn't the end goal, btw, but one of many things I want to change in my life...)
Sorry, didn't mean to ramble... Point is, quitting smoking isn't EASY by any means and it's USUALLY because of outside stresses that are REALLY what the person has to work on... That's my experience anyways...
