I picked up on these guys from the uberschall thread in equipment, they used it and the jvm on their latest, so I went out and got it. What a fucking sound, what songwriting! First album I've bought with the vocal style too, and I love it! Nevermore doesn't count cause warrells just fucking awesome

Agree'd about the over/undergained tones. Horses for courses, fuck tone snobbery. Even if the tones shit it can sound good imo!

And Jacare, their first album I think came out in 1998, so check out the songs posted above which are from their 2004 album 11 Dreams, they have a different singer (and maybe some other different members) and more importantly I'd imagine matured greatly as songwriters in 6 years!

Mercenary is one of my favorite bands, I really wished there were some tabs for their tunes becuase I really want to absorb that atmpshere they invoke with their uber awesomeness.
