In regards to *mostly* guys wearing their pants around their knees, some cities are attempting to place a city-wide ban on such fashions instead of case by case. That to me is infringing a little to far upon my rights. While I like to keep myself covered, I think something like this is only a 'slipper-slide' to other bans and dress codes. It angers me.
Thats ridiculous. Even if they do look like fools and make asses of themselves...thats the fun of it.
They're trying to do a dress code at my school because they feel clothes make some people feel bad because they dont have "dolce and banana" or whatever its called and all those name brands. Personally, I wear band shirts, black longsleeve shirts that I get at old navy, and other random buttondowns from chain stores...so I guess its a girl thing...
But to the people who feel less because they don't waste their money on clothes, I say fuck em. There's obviously something else wrong if they feel that having a $200 bra is that important. Dress codes take away expression and individualism and its a sign of conformity which I don't like....frankly I dont think most Neverheads like Conformity at all.
Teachers argue to me "People always wear black band shirts! blah blah blah!" But no one wears a Nevermore TGE shirt but me So there is individualism and the reason most people go to public school is A) they dont want to spend money for Private school and B) they dont want the oppression of private school
School uniforms is just the first step. I know I sound insane but all this "Universal" shit is going to go out of hand to communism or something. America has freedom of speech and expression...that should include wearing your own goddamn clothes when you go to school for half your life.
