Wow...

I liked it immediately and never stopped. One of those things I guess.

BWP was the first Opeth song I ever heard. I remember downloading it and it was taking forever, so I just started to listening to it. I had downloaded to the part at the start where the song transitions from the intro into the first vocals.

I was honestly so blown away that I stopped the download and went out looking for the CD. BWP is still one of my favorite Opeth songs, probably just because that was the song I heard first.

The song is killer... every time I listen to it, I am still always blown away by the power it carries. It's like a huge blast of raw force and emotion that threatens to knock you right off your feet. There is an intangible quality to it I've never heard anywhere else... something that places it beyond everything I've ever heard. It's just so powerful... dammit.

After that unbelievable "70's" clean part the song just goes on like a steamroller or something...a thousand brilliant riffs which are different yet very much the same.. it has an effect no other song by them has yet achieved. A perfect ending to the album or what.

'Twas the first Opeth song I heard, and it had me instantly converted. Those grooved out \m/ riffs just totally captivated me, and I knew that I had stumbled upon something good... my life has been owned by Opeth ever since... :)
