WTF: Guitar Recorded Monitors (Clip Inside)

That tends to happen from time to time, yes.

Back away from your monitors some and the problem should be solved or at least more usable. :)

Lol, Megalol. This is normal DEPENDING on what guitar/pickups you're using. Please mention your gear.

I tracked this 'Nu-Metal meets RATM' band who used a chinese Gibson ES-335 semi acoustic clone. Yes, there were leakage from my monitors but I was pretty impressed with the end results.

Points to be noted:

1. I phase inversed the output from my monitors while tracking to prevent phase-cancellation ;) Clips to be posted soon!
2. There are NO RULES in audio production. If it sounds good, it sounds good. Period.

Edit: If you're using a solid body guitar with conventional active/passive pickups meant for Metal, chances are you need better electricity.

actually i think we have electricity problems in the studio.
i run from preamp to audio interface to pc.
how can bad electricity cause problems when recording?

yes i know it acts like a microphone haha  :)

question: what can affect the tone when i direct recording the guitar into the interface?
