Went to taco bell, and ordered a chalupa. No fucking tomatoes. They told me that because of the salomanella scare they'll no longer serve tomatoes on food.

Bullshit. I'll take that risk.

No word of it here. Surely everyone can't get their tomatoes from the same source? I've not looked into this AT ALL, so what credibility does it have?

i think it was actually 100+ cases of salmonella in multiple states. so unlike the SARS/Birdflu etc scares this one actually has people getting sick.

Interesting. A legitimate scare then, although still probably blown out of proportion. There are risks when having eggs with runny yolks, maybe the percentage risk is about the same.

I'd still be eating tomatoes. For sure.

ketchup, catsup, bbq sauce, baked beans (our home made ones in particular), salad, burgers, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, ..... i'm not giving it up!

Plus we buy all our tomatoes from a local gardener where you just buy it from a little shack sitting next to the actual garden. They've never had problems with any of their produce (fruit or veggie). They're not 'organic', but I don't care. 80+ years in the community, not one bad review ever... can't complain

i had taco bell for lunch today too actually, and even without tainted tomatoes it sent me on back to back epic sessions upon the throne. and by epic i mean molten liquid shit and stomach bile painfully expelling from my sphincter like some sort of chocolate fire hose. NOT FUN.

i enjoy a good a shit like any red blooded heterosexual male, but this was just unpleasant. i think ill just have drugs for dinner and give my asshole a rest.

That's a shame. Tomatoes are integral to loads of things.
Negative sir. Tomatoes are vomit inducing for me. I like this recall because now I don't have to say "hold the tomatoes so my food rules instead of sucks" whenever I order anything.
