Just cast my ballot for Obama this afternoon. I feel like a bit of a faggot because I just voted Democrat for both of the Congress seats without knowing much about the candidates, but in my defense I attempted some brief research online and I couldn't find much helpful info on them.

I voted Republican for the senate seat here. Kerry is a bag of gay douches, and Beattey seems OK...and he's ex-CIA. Badass. He's kind of just a generic Republican, but anything's better than fucking Kerry. He's so damn droll.

A rare occasion in which I agree with vihris. I am completely for the legalization of drugs. They are a rediculous drain on our system and the "War on ****** has done about as little good as the "War on Terror". It's a drain on taxpayers all the way around.

I guess I have to ask whether you oppose those because they're a drain on tax money or because the programs don't accomplish their goals. Even though we may seem to agree at face value, it's quite possible we disagree on the justification. :)

Yeah, such is life.

Can't say I would have done differently, but Republican. But us Repubs are facing a pretty tough possibility of there being a huge majority of Dems. If it were the other way around, or closer to even I would probably evaluate the candidates if I had time. But I suppose in the end, with no other info, I would still vote R, so I can't blame you.

Now that I look back on it, the Repub guy Eric Cantor may be a more qualified candidate for the House seat I voted on, being that he's got a good business and legal background. He does seem to vote along party lines for most bills though, which presumably means I disagree with him on most issues. Cantor may win anyway though since he's the incumbent and has done well vote-wise in the past.

I'm cool with Mark Warner taking the Senate seat, though.
