You guys heard of Coprofago? Intelligent and complex jazz-death metal

They sound like a mix of Martyr, Meshuggah, Atheist and Cynic. Great stuff, go get Inborn Mechanics, very atmospheric even if it's death metal.

been listening to them off and on for like 4 years... ever since I found an animation tutorial website where the dude made a cover for them and the tutorial was how he made various parts of it.

They are ok, their musical ideas are not that special and the vocals are too "gore" for me.

Got Genesis - I wasn't overly blown away by it at the time, seemed to mistake 'play one note at odd rhythms' for technicality in places - may have to go back and give it another spin now though, see whether my tastes have swung back in its favour.
