The original is a classic. I saw the preview for this new one, and frankly it looks like a scene for scene remake, which never works. Besides, the original had a creepy quality that can only come from a low budget and the right circumstances. You can't manufacture that.

I'm no Nick Cage fan, that is the thing that will likely prevent me from checking it out...
It took me 5 years after his remake of Gone in 60 Seconds to view it...
That was on some cable channel...
