You woke up in 2009 and the first thing you played was...

Had a playlist going on so my iPod was playing the following through the night:

Thin Lizzy: Chinatown
Phillip Lynott: Philip Lynott Album
U.D.O.: Mastercutor - Alive
Judas Priest: Nostradamus
Hammers of Misfortune: Fields & Church of Broken Glass
Gillan: Future Shock
Zebra: S/T, No Tellin' Lies & 3.V
Wetton/Manzanera: S/T
Marcello & Vestry: S/T
Yes: Drama
Y&T: Down For The Count
Oz: Fire In The Brain

Virgin Steele - Marriage of Heaven and Hell Pt. 1

...but I did listen to Ayreon's Into The Electric Castle and Final Experiment last night after midnight though. :p

When changing year I was listening the excellent FATES WARNING song "The 11th hour".

Properly, my first 2009 song has been DEF LEPPARD "Wasted".

During the whole day I´ve been listening:

MAPLE CROSS: Next chapter (finnish thrash metal)
PHARAOH: Be gone (one of the best from 2008)
ZION´S ABYSS: T.A.L.E.S. (if you never listened I truly recommend you this hidden jewel from metal in the vein of Titan Force)
ANNIHILATOR: King of the kill
FUCK OFF: Hell on earth (one of the few spanish classic thrash albums from the 80´s)

The first CD that I put at my player after the year changed was "Ode to Salvation" by Airged L'amh.

But I didn't finish it and some minutes later I listened to the whole s/t CD of Hittman. :D

AIRGED L´AHM, a great band!! :headbang:. Besides Marauder, Battleroar, Litany and some more, one of the best bands from Greece.

"Ode to salvation" is a very good records and it was released by a friend´s label: Eat Metal Records from mighty Greg Varsamis. In spite of it I prefer "The silver arm", for me almost a masterpiece. I´ve never listened to "One eyed god", Is it as good as the other ones?

BTW: Hittman :worship:.

Thin Lizzy - Thunder and Lightning :D

Awesome! :headbang:

I had to work until 3:30am on New Year's Eve/Day
and while building servers at work, I was kinda bummed out, and needed a little pick me up to make me happy again. So I hauled out the boom box and dropped in Frank Zappa's "Sheik Yerbuti" cd, hit "random", and out came the song "Broken Hearts Are For Assholes" This made me smile.....
