When I listen to, say, Vader's early albums and oldschool Florida death, the only considerable difference I see between that sound and RiB are the vocals... King's and Hanneman's guitarwork and Lombardo's drumming were a true milestone for the development of death metal... So yeah, I do consider it more death than thrash - but that's my opinion
