Your favorite song line or the line that touched you the most (from theocracy)

Yo. The lines that touched me were

1."Why are you crying?" the stranger asks
As I wipe away the tears
I point toward the great abyss
The source of all my fears
"I must get across and get to that light
For it represents my only hope tonight
But when I saw the chasm, all that hope was lost
I've spent so long in the dark and the rain
That the sight of the light made my heart sing again
But the gulf's so wide, and there's no way across"

The stranger smiled, and took my hand
He said, "But you are wrong, my friend
You cannot cross the gulf yourself, that's true"
He led me down toward the edge
And pointed just over the ledge
And said, "Behold, I built a bridge for you"

And 2.As the battle rages on and on
I face the things that put my faith to the test
When fallen angels won't leave me alone
Father, come and lay the demon to rest
When my sword has broken off in my hand
I see the dark futility of the flesh
When I'm about to fall, please help me stand
Father, come and lay the demon to rest

I was about to post a line or two from I Am that I always considered my favorites but then I decided they were all too good to just post a couple. So ignoring that song, I guess the opening line to As The World Bleeds would be one of the top.

"And I will never leave her side
We walk the tightrope between faith and fear
Each moment of our lives"

But the whole of On Eagles' Wings really...

The final chorus of "Mirror of Souls" gets me every time.

Also, while I echo Rawshik's sentiments about "I Am," I particularly like, " I am the Word who spoke no word, with a thousand angels waiting for my call." I even made it my ringtone for a good long while.

"You can save me...I believe." And then the bell tolls. That was absolutely genius. I seriously cried when I heard it the first time. It hits me in the gut whenever I hear it.

I just keep thinking "You Jesus CAN save...even me." Fills me with gratitude. Thank you, Jesus...

Honestly, and this is probably the genius of Matt, but EVERY song has something in it that hits me. Even 'The Gift of Music' I feel was written for me!
I'm not exaggerating at all either - whether it's the chorus of On Eagle's Wings or the amazing and clever lyrics in 30 pieces of Silver, I find gold in every song.

"I am". I actually cried the first time I listened to it. It's just such a well-constructed song.

"I am righteous, I am holy, I am three and one and only."
"I am the bringer of righteous desire and the fourth man you see in the midst of the fire, I am the bringer of life and the promise of Israel."
"I am the word who spoke no word, with thousand angels waiting for my call."
"I am the bread that feeds the starving man upon the street."
"I am the parent's love, unchanging, unconditional and pure."

You know I don't want to sound to cheesy here, but thank you Matt smith, Shawn bensen, Jon hinds, Val Allen wood, and Jared Oldham for obviously staying close to The Lord so we can reap the benifits... You honestly have changed my life (even if it is ever so suttle) for the better. I created this thread as a thank you. :)

I love all songs (NO exception!!) and completely adore the lyrics!
One of my all time favourite songs' Behtlehem and one of my favourite lines is:

"Has this little child come to redeem us all?"

Don't really know why, but to me it shows the whole christmas-story in a different, very serious aspect, which deeply touches me.

Thanks for everything Theocracy, my favourite metal band :headbang:
