Your favourite album intros

Hello,

I always found that the intro of an album quite interesting sometimes, because it has to prepare the listener and make him have the good mood to enter the first track.

Would you share some you love ?

I personnally loved the Arch Enemy : Anthems of rebellion one (and wonderful album too. The first track after the intro is just impressive)



And my personnal favourite one is the intro of the first track of hypocrisy : The Arrival, because the sound is huge, the atmostphere is epic, and evil.

The intro to Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. It's just that good, can't really explain. :)

The intro of The Serpentine Offering on Dimmu Borgirs In Sorte Diaboli is so awesome! So epic I can't think of another intro right now because of its awesomeness :goggly:

The backwards guitar thingy at the start of Blackened on ....And Justice For All.
Also Machine Screw from Type O's Bloody Kisses, Sepultura Arise and Deicide's first album, sounds like the gates of hell opening. Oh ya, Slayer Hell Awaits......evil:rock:
 
Backwards guitars on "Blackened" definitely, also the static/noise shit in "Blinded By Fear".


Another one of my favorites is "Dusk Falls Upon the Temple of the Serpent on the Mount of Sunrise", from Annihilation of The Wicked. To bad that Cast Down The Heretic doesn't exactly live up to the epic build-up.
