Your first Metal album

I was really big on Nu-Metal back in the day...so probably some KoRn or System Of A Down album was my first.

I didn't get into extreme metal until last year and "Onset Of Putrefaction" by Necrophagist and "Prowler In The Yard" by Pig Destroyer were the two albums that got me into the genre.

The Black Album.

It was when I turned 12.
I was sorta brought up with metal though, because my brother would always play it pretty much all through my elementary school years. I digged it.

I think the first one that I actually bought was Still Life in 2002... got it on a rec from a Led Zeppelin message board.

I think I bought Judas Priest Sin After Sin, Metallica St anger and A7X (lol) city of evil in one week.

I was into hard rock and that kind of stuff early. Guns n Roses, Bon Jovi and AC/DC. Im not sure what my first metal album was though.

I do remember being in Thailand when I was 10 (1994 or 1995) or so and they had loads of casettes for sale (all illegal copies of course). I bought the last action hero soundtrack which led me to buy Megadeths "hidden treasures" just days later I think.

My first metal cd came after that. It might have been either Metallicas "an justice for all" or Megadeths "so far, so good, so what". This was probably sometime in between 1995 and 1997.

My first metal album that I paid money for was either Hammerfall's Crimson Thunder or Blind Guardian's Imaginations from the Other Side, either or in 2004. I was listening to metla before that, but I wasn't really big enough into music to pay for it at that point. The first metal band I ever heard was Blind Guardian with Bright Eyes. I listened to metalcore before that.

Iced Earth - Horror Show

it's not as good as it was to me, but it's still good for nostalgic purposes.

That Nightwish song and all of the band members piss me off. What a bunch of pretentious posers. What kind of douchebag braids his beard. And what the fuck is wrong with the drummer? Is he trying to act like the Hunchback of Notre Dame, like that's cool or something? wwowowowowow

Hate to mention Metallica since so many others on here have already but...
if my memory serves me right I got Master of Puppets on cassette for a christmas gift from my mom. Wow, that had to be like 1989.
