Your idea of the ideal guitar

this is pretty similar to my main guitar:

although mine is a little more "tricked-out" from the ibanez custom shop, and last year, i put in custom-wound dimarzios

so the one that i already have is my ideal

Nice axe Leslie. I too own an Ibanez and love it, though mine is actually a cheap Korean model. My more expensive Vandenberg gets less play than my little cheapo Ibanez, but I have become discontent with floating tremolas and locking nuts.

so basically a high model Ibanez S series?
the s series doesn't have a double octave fretboard. also, it has a floating bridge, i'd want a fixed. i also hate the placement of the volume knob and imput jack. i'm not sure if any s series are neck through, and they don't seem to make a 7 string version, if i decide that's for me. so no, not really.
