saw them live on the ..so what tour at antrim in northern ireland
they were truely shit...woeful
mustaine got hit in the face with an orange

never bought or listened to them after that
That gig is infamous. Is that the one where dumbass Mustaine starts spewing off about the IRA etc? And the next thing you know, there's a riot?

With that said, the legend tells of Mustaine writing "Holy Wars...The Punishment Due" not long after that show on his tourbus.

James Lomenzo ... ex WHITE LION ... is the new bass player.
Pretty cool, I always liked this guys sound, he was always very upfront in White Lion

I saw a Flash video for BLind Guardian - a bards song (in the forest), at my friends house. I heard the song and was liek HOLY MOTHER OF FUCK HTIS IS AMAZING, because I'm a gigantic fantasy/scifi/watever geek. After that, researched the shit out of it, bought Nightfall in Middle Earth, and Burzum/Aske (clearly simuler albums) and the rest is history.

.

indeed it was
the sound was so shit it was hard to make out what he was saying
it was the stupidist thing ever, this was quite a heated ime over here
he basically said he was giving a cut of the ticket money to the cause (meaning IRA) the crowd was probably 50/50 so you get half of them going yay, the other half thinking he's giving my money to 'the enemy'

thus....violence

I was very drunk and bewildered

but just having an orange on your person and being such a good aim as to hit him the face was subconscious genius
(orange vs green get it?)

he had to be escorted out of the country
prick

but I thought he was a prick long before that
in those days there weren't many metal shows here, bands were still too scared to come over... so you went to all of them

wieiweiweiwewieerdzor i almost started this exact same thread the other day. guess its that special relationship nad and i have (in the gay sense).
anyway, i remember lifting weights to peace sells... back in the late 80s then i heard Rust in Peace and i was like WWHHHAAATT THE FFFUUUCK!
they are 90% responsible for getting me into heavy music. the "one" video is the other 10%.
does anyone remember seeing them on the grammys the year RIP came out?

They played Hangar 18 right? In fact, didn't Hangar 18 win a grammy? Was that the same year Jethro Tull won a grammy for best metal album? :tickled:
