where would you get said mod marcus? I`ve always wondered what my dr would sound like with the bias tweaked...

for the OP, if your playing DM stick to the 6l6`s !

I've been running JJ E34L's in my 3 channel DR for a while now. The E34L's have more bass than normal EL34s. I love them. I went back and forth between them and the stock 6L6s for a while before I stayed with the JJ's. I find the amp less harsh on the top end, tighter in the bottom, and a bit crunchier. Vintage mode really comes to life with E34L's, also. I found that mode useless when I was running it with the 6L6's. I've managed to get a very Mark-ish tone running the amp in Vintage mode with a TS in front and the E34L's.
