So I guess carpeting IS hard in that respect. I was thinking of what little I've done. It was rough, but we never had chunks of carpet that big. At most it only took two guys per roll. And it was all just basic stuff when tearing up. We had tackboards and a little glue here or there, but no major adhesives.

How in the hell did you quit the Army after 1 year?

Probably quit during DEP. You can quit at the DEP stage, but if you quit any point after it's a federal prison term on the basis of AWOL. Unless his contract was 1 year, which is EXTREMELY doubtful. I had a 4 year contract, but was kicked out 1 day prior/on the day of basic Looking back on it, definitely for the better.

my girl works in the same department and actually doesn't mind the work at all. As long as you stay away from the front checkouts you will be ok. Also you get discount on all food till after christmas so use that to your own advantage!

It paid a lot and they were a lot like some of the friends I had in the past. I'm moving toward losing weight and going into prison work. More pay, and if the 'tard hits you, you smack them back with a wooden stick and your friends come running to help.
 
marine mechanic - 15-36 (current) - auto mechanic when I had to be
inbetween - made hot tubs for a brief period- played in various bands while living in Florida and Californornia mostly playing covers (yech) and doing radio jingle music. Worked building/rigging custom offshore race boats. Did some heating and cooling during winter slow times.
Went in over my head due to a death of someone I worked for and somehow fell out into a rose patch
So now as a hobby now I restore antique outboards and Hydrostream boats when I can find them laying about, work on boats and pretty much do and go where I want.

part-time:
brought daily papers between 5-7am buhhh about 6months
worked at the Cinema for 3 years
worked at two stores who sale from TV's to washingmachine's for about a year in total
worked in a factory that recycles plastic for about a year
worked in the hospital at facilitaire service every summer for about 5 years

until last summer iv been a student now i work full-time at a Financiel advice agency for company's, its actually pretty great i get free education etc.
