Total Income is around $1800 a month. (after tax)
Total expenses are around $1050 a month. (rent, food, electricity, setting aside $150 a month).
$800 goes a fairly long way here in Berlin.

why buy the comp on credit? Are you bringing it with you to berlin? (might be cheaper to buy parts?)

when i worked full time i made about $1245 after tax, fixed expenses (rent + internet + rehearsal space, nothing else) roughly $500 = $745 to live on

this month is going to be rough as hell though as i made about $750 after tax and have had to buy some plane tickets and shit so at the moment i have less than $50 to live on for the rest of the month

 @ Lurch. Good definition of wealth. The wife has an uncle who pays $320,000 a year in taxes. When I hear that figure, nothing computes. A few years ago, his wife said she sold real estate on the side for $75,000 to play with. I felt like throwing up on her.

Anyway, some friends of ours are looking at houses in the $500,000 to $700,000 range. That is wealthy to me.

I picked 3, since I saved a bunch in the past few years..enough to buy luxuries. But, I live very conservatively otherwise, so I can do that once in a while. I still stress about money...not about making bills, but about saving enough. Its weird. Im not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination. I dont even make that much money. I dont even know WTF Im trying to say in this post.

It's definitely not wealthy to me. People buying shit with money they don't have is what got us into this whole crisis thing (but if your friends can toss up $500,000 they are most certainly wealthy).

After mortgage, bills, food and setting aside some money for my nephew's education and future home, etc, I'm left with pretty much nil, but it's okay as I'm pretty happy with the things I have.

Two weeks ago I got really drunk and spent $1,500 on a black stripper/prostitute named Jade. I was propositioned damnit! :erk:

Aside from financial blunders such as that my personal economy is fairly decent. Depending on the hours I put in, $3,800-$4,200 a month before taxes. All credit cards paid down to 0, drive an old economy vehicle, with my main luxury being attending gigs. I've become more budget minded as of late, and I am saving quite a bit of jew tokens. The pressure to make money in this town is ridiculous. If you're not making a min of 80-90k yr, you're deemed a total failure. Half the reason why I loathe this town. The other half has been discussed ad nauseum.

 ... i laughed like a hyena

the rest sounded like Nad's story 3 years ago.

What's odd is that I have not had a racist thought in my head since that time. It was therapeutic in a sense. As far as the intercourse went, it was pretty bad, even by Moose standards. Cramped quarters, an extra plush couch, limbs constricted at the ankle by pantaloons, and a 300 lb mountain of muscle interjecting himself every 5th "dance" asking if I want to purchase another round, all made for a frustrating performance.
