Your Song Covers

Yup, just confirmed that, there definitely were high pitched screams like that. So I take that back.

Doesnt change the fact that it sounds glorious.

Downpicking the arpeggios, brutal :kickass: That's a great cover. Also ironic how he could video edit others but not himself, preferring to stay in a weird 16:8,861 fisheye aspect ratio :kickass:

I now realize the song is nearly 15 years old, foockin 'ell mate :kickass:

Thanks for the good comments guys \m/

Btw I kept the fisheye effect like that because I film with a Gopro and the quality gets shitty if you convert the video to "normal lens" look.

I did a cover of Woods of Ypres which was slightly more personal than usual, they were from my area and I admired them quite a bit. After their mastermind died a lot of people were really bummed out. This is also my first time taking video seriously, so I hope it turned out as good as I hope.

WoY was okay, nothing spectacular, the lyrics were always so "emo" (do we still use this word? Its been a while since I used it or seen it).

But the cover itself is very good :)

Yeah the lyrics are.... yeah. I have to ignore them sometimes. I dig the music overall though, some of it is nostalgia, I was a dumbass teenager when they were playing around here.

The lyrics are fine. They're not flawless, and yes they're cheesy, so what? They're full of emotions and go well with the music.

Sounds great man. Do you track with earbuds instead of headphones?

I don't really like earbuds/monitors myself because I like to be able to hear myself outside of the headphones as well. When I'm doing warmup recordings I usually have one headphone off my ear so I can hear both the room sound and what I hear in my head. Earbuds make it hard to hear everything the mic would pick up.
