Your Top 5 hardcore/metalcore Bands

Why would you say Lamb Of God is death metal? I read some other things about the band and other people call them death metal too but I'm not so sure about that. They're highly aggressive but that doesn't make them death metal I think. I mean they really don't sound like bands like Morbid Angel and Obituary. I would just say they're just really brutal metalcore.

Talking about metalcore/hardcore, you all know who All That Remains are? They're great eh. They sound similar to Shadows Fall but better.

I wouldn't say that Morbid Angel and Obituary consist of the only sound that death metal can have. Lamb of God definitely have a hardcore influence, but their sound is much more of a death metal sound than a metalcore sound.

Hahaha that makes me laugh. Was this a joke or are you serious. SOAD have some hardcore elements but they aren't hardcore or metalcore at all. If you are joking you made me laugh. If you are serious check out some of the bands people are posting to hear what hardcore/metalcore really sounds like.

Zao is Hardcore in my opinion but the vocals are like Death Metal vocals or something.

Why only Underoath's first album? They've gotten a lot better than when they started, when they were just a generic Zao clone. Their last album is far better than their earlier material, especially due to dymanics. They have parts heavier than anything they've done and parts much more mellow... that's a good thing by the way. The only negative thing about the album is that it's just way too damn short.

1. God Forbid - these guys are awesome.. They're metalcore, and yet musically they're as METAL as it can get. Very technical, very HEAVY, and very melodical. And very musically diverse, too. Just awesome..

2. Suicidal Tendencies
3. Killswitch Engage
4. Hatebreed
5. 3rd Rail
