Your views about pictures and avatars

So a new forum (for Turisas) and all this 'fancy' stuff along with it. So we had avatars already on the Trolleve phpBB messageboard and they were kept with a reasonable size.

This Ultimatemetal thingy gives the chance for larger avatars and you can even ad pictures in posts and signatures. I myself turned those off from my profile a long ago, but had to test how this board looks in all of it's glory just to start this thread. Well I almost puked when I scrolled down few topics, all those overlysized, ugly and no-point-in-them pictures in signatures and way too much of nonsense for the text part.

So now I ask what do you think of these clearly so useful options like too big pictures, lot's of text in signatures etc.

And for those who dislike them as I do, go to your profile and from there you can switch them off.

I hate *massive* ones, but small things like Mr. Lapin has I think are fine I have one too

but nothing's wrong with a reasonably sized banner/avatar, imo

I thunk there really should be a set limit on the size of people`s avatars and signatures, Less is more in my opinion

The signature looks a little big - What about not having so many spaces inbetween the different parts of your signature?
