avatar is OK. Sig is way too big. I generally think that it shouldn't be longer than your posts, in general... but if you do a lot of short posts, then 5 lines should be the max... But I'm picky.

large signatures (esp. pics) are annoying. it does not only distract from the purpose of a forum (reading posts), it also requires time for the site to load (luckily I have a fast connection but please try to think of users with modems)
