Yeah, I would say Zero Hour is easily in my top 5 American bands of all time.

Almost all of my favorite bands come from the US. There are but a few Euro bands I like.

I agree, some of the best progressive metal has come out of the US, and the band most often credited with inventing the genre as we know it today is American...

there's still really good bands in america, not so much as it used to be imo but i still hve my morbid angel,nevermore, dream theater is cool, zero hour of course,tool and the list goes on...the thing is many bands that i used to like from america are total shit right now, slayer,machine head,fear factory
