Surpringly enough, last night during my workout I randomly decided to try this album on Spotify. That workout ended up much better than expected, minus the bouts of air guitar between sets.

I have been wanting to be a fan of these guys for a couple years. I still struggle with the harsh vocals. I am a big fan of extreme vocal styles but these strangely haven't clicked with me yet. I am going to give Spiritual Migration a couple listens and see if I can warm up to them.

I've been to 8 and have been aware of 11 and I consider these experiences among the most important in my life. It's cool to see how many people have been to all of them.

Weather Systems is easily one of the best albums I've ever heard. If played in the right context their music can bring most anyone to tears. I can't imagine a better atmosphere to see them in than Progpower. I am thinking there will be a lot of watery eyed fully grown men on Friday night.

Ok, I generally just lurk on the forum but this needs to be addressed. This forum and fest has gotten me into some of my favorite bands and literally changed my life over the last 9 or so years but this...this is the best thing that's ever happened to me. "Dragon ships and women's hips"...

I flew up from St. Louis last night for the show. It was great to be able to finally cross them off the list of bands to see. The first Progpower I was aware of was 2004 but I didn't pull the trigger and regretted it ever since. Thanks to all those involved for putting this together.

I agree this is really too bad. Neverworld will surely be held as a power metal classic always.

This was an awesome idea but the more I look at my list the less confident I feel and that is with nothing actually on the line. I had to leave some of my favorite bands out due to the reception of recent albums and try to put in bands that reach beyond just the Progpower loyal but still...

I don't post much but feel obligated to throw my disappointment into this thread. I have been to the last 6 fests and can't believe I am sitting at work instead of in Atlanta. It just feels wrong. Anyway, my customers will be listening to this years lineup all day.

This album is amazing. I also just noticed it is only 7 dollars at Laser's Edge. They are the ones who convinced me to buy it at ProgPower a few years ago for 20 so the 7 is easily worth it. I also like their first album, I don't think it's as strong in terms of progressive elements but it...

I think I would pay double to see see Barry do Lunatic of God's Creation...assuming of course that he plans on burning the inverted cross in his forehead for the show.

In my initial post I didn't mean it's hard to think of bands that have not played but more so types of bands that haven't played that is still within the prog/power realm (a band with all harsh vocals or a instrumental band being the only things I could think). Just to clear that up, not trying...

I am basing the idea that it is hard on how often I am wrong about anything when it comes to surprises at progpower. I didn't mean it was hard for you.

It's hard to think of something that has never been done that would still fit. I am hoping for a band with all or mostly harsh vocals. I will hope for Atheist.

Arcturus belongs at Progpower. I have had this conversation a number of times with friends. This will be the band that I use to convince more people to come down this year.
