Illegal downloading / file sharing / pirating...

I think that it's ok to download 1 or 2 songs illegaly to see if you like the music...downloading whole albums (and not buying them) is a different thing. On the other hand it's somewhat understandable for young kids/students who can't afford it. But it's still wrong of course. The only...

    Attention Iced Earth Fans

I don't dislike the music because of Matt's singing at all. If their's anything positive to say I think that it's the point that all the criticism that Matt couldn't reach the highs Ripper does and is technically less than Ripper is totally unfounded. I think he is the only thing that is...

    Attention Iced Earth Fans

Strange...I still don't like it that much. I didn't like the modern day IE with Rip on the last album. And this EP with Matt...well..I think it's great Matt's back. But I don't hear the originality and great stuff of the old days in the songs. It's just my opinion, but IE sounds less original...

    SOUND CLIPS FROM 'IMMORTAL' !!

I couldn't imagine Ripper following up Barlow again, this time at Pyramaze. And I prefer Ripper at other bands than the epic/melodic/power metal bands as Pyramaze and Iced Earth. I am not the greatest fan of his voice. But I think he fits better anyway in a more rough/thrashy band. More in the...

    Caramons Poem

I read some of the sword of Truth and also Memory, sorrow and thorn from Williams. It like both series. Wheel of Time also should be good, but I am not reading that much fantasy anymore. For science fiction, I've always enjoyed Michael Crichton.

    SOUND CLIPS FROM 'IMMORTAL' !!

Looking at this thread I can only think: 'OMG, we're such Matt-fanboys':OMG: But if anyone deserves it..he does. Is it bad to say that I pity Pyramaze next vocalist for the awfully big shoes he'll have to fill? :P Don't get me wrong...I think and expect that Pyramaze will find a very good...

    SOUND CLIPS FROM 'IMMORTAL' !!

Hmm...I must agree that Matt does sound very refreshing on the samples we heard. But maybe it's the off-time he had from singing which gave him new inpiration. Allthough Pyramaze's songwriting seem to make things more easy to produce good vocals than Schaffer's might. I'm very curious how Matt...

Great stuff. Matt sounds very new and full of energy. It seems the freedom he had to experiment proved it's worth :)

    Talked to Barlow yesterday..

They never did make their stuff too expensive ;). Pyramaze albums until now aren't expensive at all. I guess they could increase the price with a few euro's without scaring fans off. (I know it may be a little more expensive for us, but Pyramaze deserves it in my opinion)

    08' releases?

I guess these things you tell about are the same in every country. Metal is just not 'in' anymore as it was in the 80's. People stereotype metal and metal fans because they don't know about it and don't care about it anymore. And that's too bad. Every year I see songs of Led Zeppelin...

    08' releases?

Not that much metal?? Aren't Helloween, Gravedigger, Rammstein (different, but still metal), and many less famous bands from Germany? Also there are quite some big metal-labels with european HQ's there I believe. But then again...for a true fan there's never enough metal around I guess :P

    Pyramaze art

Ok..thanks for the info. I think it's often underestimated how important a person in a band is who organises stuff. We only need to listen to the vocals and look at the new album to see that Michael did great on that. I think that too deserves a compliment, without organisation and commitment...
