Im do the exact opposite! i use the drum dial to get it in the ball park then fine tune with the ears. And by ballpark, i use he drum dial to get the tension even all over the head then fine tune with the ears. ps- quite a few aussies in this thread :rock:

i put this album on today for the first time in ages. and after listening to the infection. man, this sh*ts all over the infection in every possibly way IMO.

first time i put them on i listened to 13th step by a perfect circle and i can now hear the editing pops between unfaded regions :OMG:

ive got my sennheiser 595's, and aside from my macbook and ASP8's, they are the best single purchase ive ever made.

ive found that playing level of hitman, splinter cell or some other tactial shoot-em up game really gets me in the mood. does anyone have a thing for milk while tracking? i dont drink tea or coffee so its the red bull that keeps me going. but latley ive been finding that a big fuck off...

lol the room mic gives the garage tone away :P thats a pretty damn good raw snare tone. its asking to be compressed! without seeming like a sheep, i think the last 2 posters hit the main issues on the head!

another for listening to the solo and working on a solo by solo basis. if one take has an awsome groove to it but is sloppy toward the end, its damn hard to edit it and kee that groove.
