I saw Adagio (from France) last night, very good band. German band I haven't seen mentioned in this thread yet is Disillusion. But I myself am from Holland, country that brought you Ayreon/Star One/etc.

Only if Opeth were completely drunk and doped out when Novembre opened for them on the European tour at the end of 2001, I guess...

It's on June 15th and AFAIK it's Opeth together with........ Linkin Park, Metallica, Marilyn Manson, Limp Bizkit and Disturbed !! Seriously !!

PL only played As I Die off the SOG album (dedicated to the "charming men in Opeth" :) ) and the rest was newer stuff. It looked like quite a number of people had already left after Opeth played. The response to PL wasn't as loud, which made Nick Holmes cynically thanking the crowd for yelling...

I'll be at the gig in Tilburg too, can't wait...

On the Paradise Lost website it says: The good news is that now PL have been moved up the bill and are expected to play a forty minute set. With Tapping the Vein as the new comers for 3rd on (playing a 20 min set.)

Tomorrow I'm gonna get myself a ticket for METALFEST 2003 in Tilburg (Holland) for March 2nd: PARADISE LOST + OPETH + NILE + SAMAEL + CATHEDRAL + WITHOUT FACE.

Arise is a great album. Dead Embryonic Cells is one of those songs that got me into metal.

I heard the Dust album by Mourning Beloveth, which is very much OK! I'm waiting for their new album to come out, but their homepage isn't quite up to date on that matter (apparently the recording is done).

Hmm... I think Therion covered that one on their Deggial album.

mIRC: depends on what network you connect to I guess. I'm usually connected to DALnet, where #mp3_metal seems to be the most active (metal) mp3 channel. Unfortunately I can't find as much on IRC as I could on AudioGalaxy. Spyware: KazaaLite is *said* to be the no-spyware version of Kazaa...
