I dont think you can really go wrong with any Katatonia album. If you like the mid 90's stuff, but don't like "My Twin", I'd say the most logical choice is to purchase earlier material rather than the more recent.
Also, I suppose you could buy one of their compilation albums.
I haven't used one, but I can say with confidence that this product would be infinitely better if there existed the possibility to also use a regular tremolo bar with it. The guitarist shown in the video seemed fairly limited as to what he could do with this new tremolo.
That's not my understanding at all.
Second Sky is not metal, and he has been working on that for years. Not something that he'll just give up on, no matter what the reason. The so-called Moontower 2, however, was apparently never even really begun. They are definitely not the same thing.
I always liked King Diamond. Female vocals featured on The Puppet Master was a welcome addition.
I think the first song I learned to play all the way through on guitar was a KD song. Can't go wrong with that.
Free, no strings attached.
Thanks to a long list of friends that seem to forget about their midterm exams until the day before, I have an extra ticket and only a few hours notice.
I don't think it should go to waste, so I'm offering it to whomever reads this and responds in time.
PM if...
I have never consciously drawn any resemblemce between Moontower and Arjen's work. That is, other than the fact that they both have guitars, drums, keyboards, etc.
But, really, I think it's a totally different vibe.
D'oh, you're a clever one! A clever mistaken one.
Dissecting an interjection rather than observing the point of the statement earns you 1 point. We have a winner!
Not bad, except for the guitar, bass, and keyboard being noticeably out of tune with each other. I especially like how the vocalist actually pronounces the lyrics.
Playing lead doesn't always have to be technically difficult, so (for any band) the lead shouldn't default to whomever is not singing.
In my own experience playing live, the guy that knows the riff, plays the riff. That's what I go by.
